If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
A Voluntary National Day of Repentance, Prayer, and Fasting
November 22nd, 2017
For generations Thanksgiving Day has been a uniquely unifying celebration during which Americans give thanks for all the goodness that God has bestowed upon us. Yet in recent decades awareness has grown of the injustices perpetrated on the Native American nations for which repentance and requests for forgiveness and reconciliation are required. And especially in this year, violations of God’s law and social fractures have grown to a depth and severity beyond our human capacity to reconcile and heal.
This is a call to persons of every persuasion and description, who put their faith in the Messiah, Jesus Christ, to turn to Him in repentance for our individual and collective sins on Wednesday, November 22nd, the day before Thanksgiving Day.
A Call for Participation. Please:
- Make a commitment to repent, pray, and fast, especially on November 22nd.
